Last weekend, I presented a challenge to you – Name my Business. Naming the business has to be one of the hardest things about getting started. It has to be simple enough to spell and pronounce, yet catchy and creative enough to remember and set you off from the crowd. And most importantly, it just has to “feel” right. I’ve been racking my brain trying to come up with the perfect name. All your suggestions have been very helpful. You are all very creative. (I think I can eliminate my husband’s suggestion of “hors d’oeuvres-osaurus rex”.)
Here were the entries:

Plated Palette (or Plated Palate)

Congratulations to Jennifer- She is the winner of a Prize Pack from Betty Crocker, consisting of all four dessert mixes and a tote bag.
And yes, I had a cupcake for breakfast.
This was the Betty Crocker yellow cake mix made just as directed on the box. Obviously made into cupcakes, not a whole cake. I frosted with Chocolate Butter Cream Icing (which started to melt because the cupcake was still warm – I was inpatient.) I’ll post the icing recipe shortly. The cake was really quite good. It was moist without being sticky. It held together well. The flavor was also very good and “normal” – no weird aftertaste or anything!
