I can’t believe it is already September! I start my new job tomorrow, and that is vaguely frightening. Actually, some of my co-workers are at the office today, and I really want to go set up my office this afternoon, but if I do, I’m apt to get put to work! I suppose that would make me look good if I put in a little time when I didn’t have too, but I really don’t want to. Does that make me a bad person? I hope not.
It will take me a while to sort out menus. I’ll be working a fair bit later in the evening than I used to. My husband doesn’t mind cooking, and can find his way around the kitchen. That will help a lot. Once I get settled into things, having the menu planned out will be a big help in case he needs to cook or just so that I know what I’m doing when I get home.
This week’s menu swap is being hosted by Gluten Free Goodness. So head on over there to check out everyone’s menus. The ingredient is peppers. I have jalapenos growing in the garden. My other peppers did not do so well. The jalapenos will find their way into tacos on Thursday. Not sure if we’ll have peppers any other night.
Monday:
Salmon
Asparagus
Potatoes
Tuesday:
Out to Dinner
Wednesday:
Grilled Steak
Edamame Salad with Beets (I wanted to make that last week but never got to it)
Thursday:
Tacos
Friday:
Dinner at Red Robin for friend’s B-Day
(Red Robin is one of those gourmet burger places that lets you get any burger on a lettuce wrap – and they wrap it well enough so that it doesn’t fall apart.)
And stay tuned for some dessert recipes. I was invited to a “Girls’ Night” party and everyone requested that I bring my world famous triple chocolate cheesecake. What makes it world famous, you ask? It’s in the name. triple. chocolate. cheesecake. I’ll post the recipe and pictures, I promise! And I want to make something fruity to go with it. Just not sure what that will be yet.

I found your site through Facebook. I have a son that just turned 1 and he’s allergic to wheat (among other things…egg, peanuts, tree nuts…). He’s not a picky eater, which is good since he really doesn’t have much of a choice! I will defintely be checking your site for ideas (even though you are a Sox fan…GO CARDS!)
best of luck with the new job! and love to hear about this magnificent sounding cheesecake.
