I feel like such a nerd. When my mother wanted to know what I wanted for my birthday, I only gave her one idea. This:
Normally, I like cookbooks with pictures, but I’m in LOVE with this book. I want to cook everything in it! As soon as I got it, I started reading it. It’s one of those that I think I’ll probably sit down and read cover to cover (adding little sticky tabs to recipes I want to make first).

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. Every single cookbook I buy ends up full of stickies. I actually had a friend at the library tell me she knew that I had signed a cookbook out because she found it full of my bright green stickies!
funny, I was just thinking about reading (yes reading) the joy of cooking.. does it make us Nerds to want to read a cookbook? hmmmm
